About the Cozy Loon Cabin

6 guests • 3 bedrooms • 5 beds • 2 baths • pets allowed • EV charging • 1000 Mbs fiber

The Cozy Loon is a three-level lakefront home located just 20 feet from the shoreline of Little Bass Lake. Designed with Scandinavian influences and surrounded by Northwoods forest, it offers a comfortable base for paddling, biking, skiing, remote work, and enjoying the quieter side of the Northwoods.

Little Bass Lake is a non-motorized lake, well-suited for paddling, fishing, and swimming. Guests have access to a private dock and complimentary kayaks, making it easy to explore the lake at their own pace. The setting is intentionally calm, shaped by the surrounding forest and water rather than nearby development.

Cable, Wisconsin is known for its year-round outdoor recreation. Guests can explore nearby CAMBA mountain bike trails, the American Birkebeiner trail system for cross-country skiing, hiking and snowshoeing routes, ATV and snowmobile trails, local lakes and rivers, and the National Wild and Scenic Namekagon River. Activities, trail access, and seasonal conditions vary throughout the year, and guests are encouraged to plan based on current conditions and interests.

Inside, the main living spaces are centered around an open living and dining area with large lake-facing windows, a fireplace, and a well-equipped kitchen. Materials and furnishings emphasize durability, simplicity, and comfort, with original artwork displayed throughout the home.

Layout & Sleeping Areas
The cabin is arranged across three levels. The main living, dining, kitchen, and one bathroom are located on the entry level. The upper level includes a primary sleeping area with a queen bed, an adjacent open sleeping nook with a twin bed (no door between them), a bathroom with shower, and a loft-style TV and gathering space.

The lower level includes an interior TV room designed for movies, games, and relaxing, along with two additional bedrooms with lake-view windows—one with a queen bed and one with two twin beds. This layout works especially well for families or groups comfortable sharing space across levels.

For guests who need to work during their stay, the cabin includes dedicated workspaces and fiber internet (1000 Mbps). Cell service can be limited in this part of the Northwoods, though Wi-Fi calling is supported.

The property includes secure outdoor gear storage and practical amenities for outdoor-focused stays, including complimentary kayaks with paddles, bike storage and maintenance tools, ski and snowshoe storage, a boot and glove dryer, and an EV charger (J-1772, daily fee applies). These features are intended to support self-directed use rather than guided or serviced experiences.

Local points of interest include the Cable Natural History Museum, CAMBA trail system, American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation, and several small restaurants, cafés, and shops in and around Cable. Equipment rentals, trail maps, and local guidance are available in town.
