The Cozy Loon is a Scandinavian-inspired lakefront retreat set among the trees just 20 feet from the shore of quiet Little Bass Lake. At the heart of the cabin is a dramatic two-story wall of west-facing windows overlooking the water—filling the living spaces with natural light and giving you a front-row seat to sunsets across the lake.

Little Bass is a peaceful, non-motorized lake, ideal for paddling, and fishing. Step outside to a private dock and complimentary kayaks, or simply settle in by the water and listen to the loons. With no motorized boat traffic, the experience here is shaped by the lake, forest, and changing seasons.

Inside, Scandinavian influences, a wood-burning fireplace, original artwork and open living spaces create a comfortable retreat that feels connected to the landscape outside.

And when you want to explore, Cable and the surrounding Northwoods offer hiking, biking, paddling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and hundreds of miles of trails, including the CAMBA and American Birkebeiner systems. The Namekagon River, surrounding forests, lakes, and small communities offer plenty to discover—or you can stay right here and enjoy the quieter side of the Northwoods.

The Cabin

Designed to keep the lake and forest in view, Cozy Loon pairs Scandinavian-influenced architecture with the warmth of a Northwoods retreat. A dramatic two-story wall of west-facing windows fills the main living space with natural light and frames the lake and evening sunsets.

A wood-burning fireplace anchors the open living and dining area, alongside a well-equipped kitchen and original artwork throughout. With three bedrooms, two baths, and separate gathering spaces across three levels, there’s room for families and friends to spread out while still feeling connected.

Layout & Sleeping Areas

Cozy Loon spans three levels. The main level includes the kitchen, open living and dining areas, fireplace, and one bathroom, all centered around the cabin’s two-story wall of lake-facing windows.

Upstairs is a queen sleeping area with an adjacent open nook containing a twin bed; there is no door between these sleeping areas. This level also includes a bathroom with a shower and a loft-style TV and gathering space.

The lower level includes two bedrooms with lake-view windows—one with a queen bed and one with two twin beds—along with a separate interior TV/game room for movies, games, and relaxing.

Please note that the cabin has stairs between all three levels.

Little Bass Lake is right outside the door. The cabin sits approximately 20 feet from the shoreline, with a private dock, complimentary kayaks, and fishing just steps away.

Little Bass Lake is peaceful and non-motorized—ideal for paddling, fishing, wildlife watching, and listening to loons across the water.

Built for the Outdoors

Cozy Loon makes a comfortable base for exploring the Northwoods in every season. Secure gear storage, bike hangers, a repair stand, tools, air pump, and bike wash make it easy to bring your own gear and head out for the day. In winter, ski and snowshoe storage and a boot-and-glove dryer make cold-weather adventures a little easier.

Nearby you’ll find hiking and snowshoeing routes, CAMBA mountain-bike trails, the American Birkebeiner trail system, ATV and snowmobile trails, lakes and rivers, and the National Wild and Scenic Namekagon River.

Connected When You Want to Be

When you need to connect, dedicated workspaces, 1000 Mbps fiber internet and whole-property Wi-Fi make remote work, streaming and Wi-Fi calling easy. Cell service can be limited in this part of the Northwoods, but Wi-Fi calling is supported.

A Lighter Footprint

Rooftop solar, battery backup and on-site Level 2 J-1772 EV charging help reduce the cabin’s footprint while adding practical resilience and convenience. A daily fee applies for EV charging.
